ALMOND BLOSSOM ROUTE IBIZA
- Every February by FULL
MOON -
ALMOND
BLOSSOM IBIZA
Every
year, in February, under the FULL MOON,
the annual ALMOND BLOSSOM ROUTE
Night Walk is held on the island of
Ibiza.
Absolute
highlight of every newborn year is the flowering period of the
Almond trees.
Especially the valley surrounding the small village of
Santa Ines (Santa Agnes), attracts
many visitors, for its large Almond
Orchards.
All Spanish people love this amazingly beautiful display of nature on
this Balearic island very much,
and plan a short Ibiza holiday
in this period of 5 weeks that the
Almond Trees will flower.
The exact period of blossom depends on the quantity of sun and warmth in
the resting period of the trees, and can be between half December and
half February.
The entire
valley will be covered in a
pinkish-white blanket with a
silvery shine of the
Full Moon while people enjoy their walk through the moonlit fields.
The overwhelming sweet scent of thousands of wonderful flowers is
intense and not
to be forgotten.
For many Spanish people this event is a reason to return to this amazing display
of nature’s beauty on Ibiza, over and over and again in February, to
join the ALMOND BLOSSOM ROUTE
Night Walk.
Symbolic for the end of winter and a new spring that will touch this
beautiful island soon.
By
FULL MOON in February, the annual ALMOND BLOSSOM ROUTE
Night Walk
is held in the beautiful valley of
Santa Ines.
Participants to the walk gather around
20.00 hrs at the municipality house of
San Antonio from where

(Associacion
Pare y Mare
Alumnos in Spanish), who will sell
